Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous editorial and evaluation process:

Initial Review: Every submission is screened by the Managing Editor for scope alignment, formatting compliance, and similarity checks (maximum similarity threshold: 20% via Turnitin).

Double-Blind Peer Review: Eligible manuscripts are evaluated by at least two independent expert reviewers. Neither the authors nor the reviewers know each other's identities to maintain objectivity.

Review Duration: The peer-review process typically takes 3 to 6 weeks.
Open Access Policy
ISTIQRO provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. History of the Journal
ISTIQRO: Jurnal Penelitian Studi Islam was established in 2026 by Institut Nahdlatul Ulama Ciamis to meet the growing need for a scientific medium that connects classical Islamic jurisprudence (Turats) with modern societal issues. Starting with its maiden issue in 2026 (Vol. 1 No. 1), the journal continues to foster research excellence and contribute to national and international academic discourses.
Archival Policy (LOCKSS & CLOCKSS)
To ensure long-term preservation and digital accessibility of published scholarly content:

ISTIQRO utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system protocols.
